As our newest team member as a Sales and Business Development Manager, your role will be pivotal to the overall success of the generation of new business, we are looking for a strong individual who can lead in this area, drive revenue, and bring onboard new clients.

What your new role will involve

Your role as a Sales and Business Development Manager will be to find new business opportunities that occur within the business environment.

You will be expected to establish short and long-term collaborations with potential clients, this is the ‘business development phase’, and your new role will be to:

  • Generate possible leads using cold calling methods, reach out to the decision-maker, manage the sales process including conducting the proposal meeting and importantly ‘closing the sale’.

  • Generate possible leads using warm leads, reach out to the decision-maker, manage the sales process including conducting the proposal meeting and importantly ‘closing the sale’.

  • Generate possible leads using networking methods, reach out to the decision-maker, manage the sales process including conducting the proposal meeting and importantly ‘closing the sale’.

  • Researching competitors, and from these using methods to generate leads, meetings and importantly close the sale

  • Using social media (at least 4 platforms both personal and C/O) posting at least daily to each, interacting with your audience, following up on leads, planning meetings, managing the sales process including conducting the proposal meeting, and importantly ‘closing the sale’.

  • Attending weekly networking event/s, building relationships from these and subsequent 1-1 meetings, generating quality business each week of at least £4k pcm.

  • Attending networking and any other events of particular interest and driving internal sales

  • Continually managing client new and existing accounts to promote our products and services

  • Ensuring and maintaining our current CRM system, updating at team meetings, preparing reports, and presenting to the team

What will make you successful in your new role?

To ensure you can develop any initial leads you will need to be strategic, broad-minded, willing to try new things and take a collaborative approach.

In order for you to be successful within the role, you will need amazing negotiation, and persuasion skills, along with a warm personality and a passion for people.

You will need to have financial acumen as you will be drafting tenders and bids and submitting these; you will also conduct and or lead meetings on your own proposals, you will need to know when they call the deal on and when to call it off and leave the table.

Will you have targets and goals to achieve?

As your role is pivotal to the overall success of the generation of new business, drive revenue, and bring onboard new clients, there will be KPI’s in place with an expectation that these are met, you will be expected to:

  • From weekly networking drive and generate quality business each week of at least £5k pcm

  • From weekly cold calling drive and generate quality business each week of at least £2k pcm

  • From weekly warm leads drive and generate quality business each week of at least £5k pcm

  • From tenders and bid submissions drive and generate quality business each week of at least £15k pcm

  • From social media drive and generate quality business each week of at least £4k pcm

  • From researching competition drive and generate quality business each week of at least £10k pcm

Your KPI’s will be measured on a weekly meeting, reporting to our weekly sales and marketing meeting with your update on financial progress and contribution to the business.

What will you receive in return?

A starting salary of: £34,000.00 (rising to £39,000.00 upon completion of 6 months, subject to all targets being achieved)

A non-discretionary bonus scheme triggered once 6 months is completed, and subject to targets met fully of £87k in the 6 months period.

  • Bonus is payable on a quarterly basis and based on 10% of monthly revenue generated during the quarter.

Full-time employees will receive 28 days annual leave (prorated for part-time)
